With bookshelves filled with management tips and tricks, it is refreshing to find a departure from "how to manage others" to see a world that does not require management but rather better humanity. The book blends personal stories with just the right amount of "instruction." My first reaction after reading was to rethink some civic organizations that I am involved with and wonder if this more abundant mindset can be applied. So that is my summer project fully inspired by Mr. Barzun's words.
